We offer lessons for ages 5 to adult, however, if you have a child who is younger than 5 but shows an aptitude for music or has very strong interest and can focus for at least 20 - 30 minutes we would love to try and help pair you with the right teacher.!

TRIAL LESSONS

When you're ready to schedule your child's first lesson, you can book a trial lesson at a discounted rate online

SUBMIT A LESSON REQUEST

If you're not ready to book yet, you can submit a lesson request form . This form will let us know a bit about your child and their musical experience (none is required), what you're looking for in a teacher and lesson experience, and your preferred location and available days/times to schedule lessons.

After you submit your lesson request, we'll follow up with you usually within a day or two at most to offer some teacher and scheduling options. If we don't have a good fit per your preferences, we'll give you an update on the status of your request and may suggest some alternatives if we have a teacher available but not during your preferred days/times.

Once we have a teacher and time slot lined up, we'll schedule your trial lesson. You'll only be billed for the single lesson, and there is no commitment to enroll when you book your trial lesson.

After the trial lesson, we will get in touch to see if you want to enroll in regular weekly lessons and reserve that time slot for the rest of the school year. Lessons are billed at a flat rate each month, and there is a month to month commitment.

You can either book a lesson with one of our teachers at Keylab, or fill out a private lesson request form to let us know more about what you want to learn and the best time to schedule lessons.

The availability you will see at our site is only for teachers scheduled at our studio, but we may have additional teachers available for in-home or virtual lessons, and may be able to schedule a time for a teacher not listed at our site to come for a lesson to Keylab. Feel free to contact us with your availability and details and we'll do our best to make something happen for you asap.

ADULT LESSONS

Adults pay per lesson, and we offer a 10% discount for blocks of four or more lessons booked at any one time. You can also purchase a block of credits to be used for booking lessons in the future, up to a year from the date of original purchase. These are great for gifts, btw!

Our base single lesson prices for adult lessons are:

• 30 minutes - $50

• 45 minutes - $80

• 60 minutes - $100

CHILDREN'S LESSONS

The average monthly rates for children's lessons are:

• 30 minute lessons - $240 monthly, $30 for trial lesson

• 45 minute lessons - $340 monthly, $45 for trial lesson

• 60 minute lessons - $410 monthly, $60 for trial lesson

How Our Pricing Works

• After your trial lesson, we'll contact you about enrolling in regular weekly lessons

• Lessons are billed at a flat monthly rate that stays the same each month

• Your monthly price is not based on how many lessons occur in any given calendar month—you pay the same amount whether there are 2, 3, 4, or 5 lessons that month

• End-of-school-year performance party (a more fun recital!) included at no additional charge

• No registration or administrative fees

What Affects Your Rate Your monthly rate may vary slightly based on:

• When you enroll during the school year

• What day of the week your lessons are scheduled (affects total lessons for the year)

• In-home lessons will cost slightly more than lessons booked at Keylab

• Any custom lesson options requiring extra preparation time for teachers

Commitment

• Children enrolled in weekly lessons have a month-to-month commitment, but are enrolled for the full school year.

• We are open to accommodating other types of enrollments, but prioritize full school year enrollments

You can purchase a gift certificate for four 45 or 60 minute lessons for any instrument or subject we offer.

Gift certificates are for lessons at Keylab or online. If you want a custom amount of lessons, want to spend a specific amount, or you want in-home lessons, please contact us before purchasing.

At this time we can't automate gift certificates, and need to process them manually, but we'll typically be able to do this in 24 hours or less.

PURCHASE GIFT CERTIFICATES HERE

• Four 60-Minute Lessons - $400

• Four 45-Minute Lessons - $320

When you purchase a gift certificate:

• You'll provide the recipient's first and last name and email address.

• We'll create an account for the recipient (don't worry! they won't be notified when we create the account) and add four lesson credits to their account

• The recipient will be able to book online with any available teacher directly from their account

• The credits will be active to use for up to one year from date of purchase.

• You can specify your notification preferences during checkout. We can either send the gift certificate directly to you, or we can send it to the recipient.

• If you want us to send the gift certificate to the recipient, we can send it asap (within 24 hours) or you can email us at info@keylab.nyc to specify the date you want the gift certificate emailed to the recipient.
