COURSE DESCRIPTION

12-week beginner level course
In-person at Keylab
Weekly 90 minute classes on Thursdays at 7pm
$840 for the full course or sign up for three monthly payments of $280
Winter Session Dates - January 9th - April 3rd (no class February 20th)

Open to musicians and non-musicians.
No musical knowledge or previous experience with music production software is required to participate.
Laptop and all equipment are provided in class each week
We will provide free audio software to use while enrolled during the course.

Course Overview

Throughout this course, you will learn the fundamentals of music production, including how to create dynamic interactive music, sound effects, and voice-over recordings for enhancing character sounds, dialogue, and narration in video games.

Each week, you'll explore a new topic through interactive examples and hands-on exercises.

You'll have your own audio workstation during class, with free access to music production software that you can also use at home—allowing you to continue working on your projects anytime without the need to purchase additional equipment or software.

With teacher guidance, you'll create music and sound effects in class, with the flexibility to refine your work at home.

You will learn key techniques for recording, editing, and producing audio for interactive game environments—valuable skills that can also be applied to music production for other media.
