DATES: Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19, 2026

LOCATION: Keylab, 94 Luquer St., Brooklyn, NY 11231

DURATION: Approx. 35 to 50 minutes per performance, followed by pizza, snacks, and jam session

 

SCHEDULING DETAILS

• In most cases, children will perform on their regular lesson day.

• Students will be grouped into Early and Late performance segments roughly based on their regular lesson time.

• We know this may not be ideal for every family, and we will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs. Due to the many moving parts involved in organizing these events, we can't guarantee that we'll be able to move your child to a different segment or day, but if you have a scheduling concern, please reach out to us at info@keylab.nyc and we'll do our best to help.

• Siblings will be scheduled into the same performance segment whenever possible.

• If a student cannot attend their scheduled day, they may request to attend on a different date. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but availability is not guaranteed.

• Please note that if you request to schedule your child on a day other than their regular lesson day, their teacher may not be scheduled to work, and may be unavailable to support them. In these cases, we will assign a Keylab teacher who will be able to provide support for their performance.

 

PERFORMANCE PARTY SCHEDULE
Monday June 15th through Friday June 19th 

Start and end times, and durations listed below are approximate.

MONDAY - THURSDAY

Early Performance

• Arrival: 3:30 to 3:50 PM

• Performance begins: 4:00 PM

• Approximate duration: 35 to 40 minutes

• Pizza and snacks to follow 

 

Late Performance

• Arrival: 4:45 to 5:00 PM

• Performance begins: 5:00 PM

• Approximate duration: 35 to 40 minutes

• Pizza/Jam Session to follow

 

FRIDAY (single performance, Juneteenth*)

• Arrival: 3:30 to 3:50 PM

• Performance begins: 4:00 PM

• Approximate duration: 45 to 50 minutes

• Pizza/Jam Session to follow

 

* NYC public schools are closed on Friday, June 19 for Juneteenth, but we do have a party scheduled. If you prefer to join on another day, let us know when you submit your registration form and we'll do our best to fit you into another day if there is space available.

GENERAL INFO

 

Is participation mandatory?

No, but all students are invited to perform if they'd like to! If your child recently started lessons or you're not sure they're ready, ask their teacher for guidance.

 

Is there a fee to participate?

No, participation is completely free!

 

Will there be food?

Yes! We'll have pizza and snacks after each performance for that day's participants and guests. We'll also host a Jam Session each day after the Late performance, open to all Keylab kids every day of the week.

 

What are the key dates and deadlines?

• Monday, April 20th: Deadline to confirm your child's participation. If you need an extension, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to offer flexibility if we can.

• May 1st: The schedule opens up and families may request to move to a different performance day or segment if spots are available.

• May 31st: Schedule locks. After this date, please contact us at info@keylab.nyc to request changes. Changes are not guaranteed, but we'll do our best to accommodate requests if we have space available.

 

What time should we arrive?

• Early performance: Arrive between 3:30 and 3:50 PM.

• Late performance: Arrive between 4:45 and 5:00 PM.

• All students must arrive on time to ensure a smooth event.

 

How long will the performance be?

Performances are approximately 35 to 50 minutes, though end times may vary. Please plan accordingly and refer to the schedule above for details.

 

Will we have to stay for the entire performance?

Please plan to stay for the full performance to support all student performers.

 

How many guests can we bring?

• Monday through Thursday: each performing student may bring up to 3 guests.

• Friday: each performing student may bring up to 2 guests.

• If your family needs more than the allotted number of guests, please note this in your signup form and we will follow up as soon as possible to let you know if we can accommodate your request.

 

What if my child can't attend on their scheduled day?

You may request to attend on a different day. While we cannot guarantee availability, we will do our best to accommodate your request.

 

Can we reschedule to a different day or segment after signing up?

• The schedule will open up on May 1st and families may request to move to a different performance day or segment. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

• After May 31st, the schedule will be locked and families will need to contact us at info@keylab.nyc to request changes. Changes are not guaranteed, but we'll do our best to accommodate requests if we have space available.

• Please note that if you give up your current spot it will immediately become available to other families, and we cannot guarantee we will be able to move you back if your schedule change request cannot be accommodated.

 

Can I request a specific performance time?

We are unable to guarantee specific spots on the performance roster, but we will do our best to honor requests if we can. If you have a scheduling concern, please let us know on the form or email us at info@keylab.nyc and we'll do our best to help.

 

INSTRUMENTS, EQUIPMENT & SHEET MUSIC

 

What instruments and equipment will be provided?

• Digital pianos

• Guitar & bass amps

• Digital drum set

• Vocal mics

• Music stands

• Sound system

 

What should my child bring?

• Students who bring their own instrument (guitar, bass, laptop, violin, etc) to lessons should bring it to the performance if possible.

• We'll do our best to have sheet music and lesson books available for use, but it is best if students bring their own sheet music.
